We shape our school together
The Ferdinand-Porsche-Gymnasium motto emphasizes the school community. Which role do we play as parents? Without a doubt, students and teachers are the most important people at school. Through many different activities, we as parents can contribute to a stronger school community, encourage and accompany students.
We, the parent representatives, use the Gymnasium forum at the city of Stuttgart parents’ council to discuss with representatives of administration and politics. Thus, we can influence decisions.
For constructive and critical interaction, open and confidential communication is paramount. As parent representatives, we are regularly in talking to school management and teachers.
Current issues as well as the way towards a better future are discussed in the official committees, the parents’ council and the school conference.
The parent-teacher-meeting represents a casual opportunity for discussions.
Through their collaboration in everyday school life, many parents are making an important contribution to strengthening the school community. They organize the serving of the food in the school cafeteria, lend their support at Open School Day, First Day of School festivities, and when Abitur certificates are awarded.
Together we can foster healthy relations at our school to benefit the students.
